William Stapleton is a business leader, entrepreneur and President and CEO of Iron Rock Payments. Based in Frisco, Texas, he brings experience in private banking, financial services, client strategy and merchant processing to his leadership of the company. William grew up in Long Beach, California, in a working-class family with Ecuadorian, German and Polish roots. He began working at age 14, developing the independence and financial responsibility that would later influence his professional career. At Long Beach Wilson Classical High School, he balanced academic achievement with varsity baseball and water polo. He attended California State University, Long Beach, where he studied Rhetorical Theory and Global Economics. While completing his education, William continued working and pursued internship opportunities within the financial industry. His early professional career included private banking and advisory experience in New York. He later transitioned into entrepreneurship and the payment-processing industry. Today, William leads Iron Rock Payments and contributes educational content covering merchant fees, payment technology, compliance, fraud prevention and digital transactions. Outside of business, he is an accomplished golfer and member of Stonebriar Country Club.
